ACCOUNTABILITY/POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Executive is responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted revenue to maintain and increase overall profitability. Through ongoing interaction with clients, the Account Executive plans and implements effective sales strategies and manages the sales cycle in order to maintain current business opportunities throughout the client enterprise and continues to prospect for new business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Achievement of Sales revenue targets – monthly recurring revenue and monthly bookings.
Achievement of growth portfolio revenue targets
Development and execution of a strategic account plan.
Converting prospects into customers.
Attend sales meetings and networking events.
Manage a small base of up to 20 accounts.
Maintain a funnel with a ratio of 5-to-1 within existing quota.
Keep a log of all leads and referrals received on a monthly basis. Establishing trust and build loyalty with key influencers and decision-makers to build solid relationships.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
High-level ability to manage all aspects of the sales cycle.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of telecommunications products and services.
Respond to RFQ/RFI requests from existing and new client organizations.
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/ATTRIBUTES
A successful track record in over-quota achievement.
Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions or course of actions.
Ability to present and/or demonstrate various solutions to clients.
Great degree of motivation and professionalism - An extremely goal-oriented attitude.
Expert negotiation skills.
Ability to work well independently and within team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certification
Post secondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
Completion of any of the following certifications would be considered an asset: Cisco Sales Expert
4.0 (CSE), Cisco Foundation Express Sales Specialist, Cisco IP Communications Express Sales Specialist.
Basic understanding of networking and network terminology required
Expert use of all available desktop tools, including Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience
Experience selling telecommunication solutions is preferred.
5 - 10 years direct sales experience at the enterprise level.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a continually changing and competitive environment
